On behalf of the United Bankers' Bank (UBB) Board of Directors, we are pleased to share some exciting news about the future leadership of UBB. After an extensive selection process, we are pleased to announce that Jim Amundson has been named Chief Executive Officer of United Bankers' Bank, and Jen Severson has been promoted to serve as the new President of United Bankers' Bank.
Jim joins UBB with a remarkable career dedicated to community banking. Most recently, Jim has served as President and CEO of BankIn Minnesota, where he has been a strong advocate for Minnesota's community banks since 2016. Before his time at BankIn Minnesota, Jim spent 25 years as a community banker. He was the founding CEO of First Advantage Bank, a de novo bank launched in 2003. Under Jim's leadership, First Advantage successfully navigated the startup phase, the challenges of the Great Recession, recovery, and, ultimately, a merger with another community bank in 2015.
"In addition to welcoming Jim, we are pleased to announce that Jen Severson will be assuming the role of President of United Bankers' Bank," said Jae Evans, Interim President and CEO of United Bankers’ Bank. “Jen has been an integral part of UBB's executive leadership team, and her promotion reflects both her exceptional contributions and the confidence we have in her continued leadership.”
“We, along with the Board of Directors, are confident that Jim and Jen are the right individuals to lead UBB,” said Curt Johnson, Chairman of the UBB Board of Directors and President of Cherokee State Bank in Cherokee, Iowa. “Their combined experience, deep understanding of community banking, and commitment to UBB's mission position us well for continued growth and success in the future.”
Please join us in welcoming Jim to the UBB family and congratulating Jen on her well-earned promotion. We look forward to the bright future ahead under their leadership. Sincerely,
Jae Evans Interim President and CEO United Bankers' Bank
Curt Johnson Chairman United Bankers' Bancorporation, Inc.
